The Designer
Sabine Bégault-Vagner
Born in Orléans, France, Sabine grew up surrounded by the optical world. Her father managed an optical glasses laboratory, and her mother ran her own optical business. For years, Sabine worked as an optician in the family business, though she always dreamed of a career in fashion and design.
In 2014, Sabine finally followed her passion and launched Sabine Be eyewear. Her inspiration came from an unexpected source: a painting she created at age 15. That artwork, featuring sharp shapes, vibrant colors, and geometric forms—circles and squares—became the foundation of her design signature.
The painting hung in her family's living room for years, nearly discarded during a house move, but saved at the last moment by her cousin. Today, those same shapes and colors define every Sabine Be frame, embodying her belief that "when you're driven by a passion, sooner or later it catches up with you."
A Painting, A Destiny, A Brand
Brand Creation
Sabine launches her brand, drawing on the history and symbolism of her childhood painting to lay the foundations of Sabine Be.

During an interview, Sabine reveals: "The colors come from our travels to Miami, but the shapes… they come from this painting."

Sabine transforms her original painting into a scarf, a faithful replica and homage to her creative essence.
